News About Sue’s Current Glass Engraving Activities

In the past few weeks I have worked on an exciting project for the Church of St. Peter & St. Paul in Charlton Adam in Somerset.

I have engraved a large screen which will form part of a balcony. This is decorated with the motifs of St. Peter and St. Paul surrounded by plants to

represent the four seasons. The design includes a lot of Biblical and traditional Christian symbolism. This will be installed once the building work on

the new ringing gallery is done.

I have recently completed another church commission which has been installed in St. Matthew’s Church in Cheriton Fitzpaine, Devon. This is a large

memorial pane replacing part of an existing glass screen and is of arum lilies with an inscription.

I am enjoying engraving larger than life sized botanical subjects, which I have done in intaglio style for added realism.
